Sweet Caroline

Lori told us about this "New Orleans" snowball stand quite some time ago and we never ventured out to find it and enjoy... until now! Boy was it hot today and Sammie sure could use a first snowball... and Daddy and I were going to be the judge of how good this place really was (the owner is from NOLA). It really was delicious! The ice was smooth and there was lots of syrup! Not all ice, no flavor. Although it was expensive, I remember them being so cheap- about 75 cents for a small, $1.00 for a medium, and maybe $1.75-$2.00 for a large, this place was $3.50 for a medium. Let's leave it at that. But it was worth it seeing as we'll only go every once in a while, where as in New Orleans we walked there almost everyday over the summer. What a treat! Mama got strawberry and Dada got raspberry. Dada won. Mama and Sammie chose Daddy's as more delicious of the two. Sammie had a few bites of both and was content on just that! Afterwards we stopped at the park where Mike, Lori and Nate met us and Sammie got to ride with Nate in his truck. He's getting to be a good driver.

First bite!
Favorite pic :)

You can see her new top right tooth coming through.
Since Sammie is a little girl now, I cleaned out her overly cluttered bottle cabinet and packed all the bottles for 'storage'. Now all that's left are straw cups and snack cups. Our baby girl is getting so big :(
