Sugar & Spice

It was a lazy bum day. Yesterday on our way back from the Children's Museum, I gave Samantha her bottle and she poured it all over her car seat. Daddy was pretty upset and he ripped it out to get the cover off (they don't make it easy). Needless to say since it had to be washed, there was no car seat in the car today for her to go anywhere, so we stayed in and hung out... and she was in such a great mood! What a sweet angel! We love watching Sammie evolve into this amazing little girl. She is the sweetest thing, but also some times adds some spice to our life. We wouldn't have it any other way.
Sammie wanted to drink from Mommy's glass during lunch, so instead of giving in and getting major backwash, I got her own cup. She was so proud of herself drinking like a little girl. In fact, she gobbled her lunch so she could have more water! She practices drinking from a big cup when we brush teeth, but this was her first time during a meal and she was so gentle and careful not to spill it...
I'm awesome!

... and we all know that Sammie likes to be in "the know", especially in the kitchen... it's been like that since she was about 2 months old. But, one day Mommy let her stand on the chair to see what was going on, well, she remembered and has figured out a way. She's actually been doing this for weeks, but it just cracks me up seeing her little face rise up over the island.
hee hee hee

A friend has passed this along and I think it's a fantastic idea.
We all know Valentine's Day is February 14, but did you know that it is International Book Giving Day? Some kids aren't as fortunate as others. Please share!
