It was a very interesting day. The weather was icky, so we had to keep ourselves busy inside. We vacuumed (she loves holding the cord), played, read, colored, and Sammie helped cook dinner. She was such a BIG HELP!

Thanks for doing such a fantastic job getting the cans, Sams! She did a great job following direction when Mama asked to bring each one to the spot on the floor. Some are for dinner, some are for the food bank. When we go to the grocery for more, she can pick those out too.

Got all we need for the taco soup, Mama? |
Sammie even helped get the pot out of the cabinet. I think she must have gotten confused with when we ask her to sit on the pot... or maybe she was just being silly.

Time to taste-test it.... Mmm |
Sammie has been throwing more fits lately, it's hard not to give in because some times I know exactly what she wants and why not just give it to her? It's so easy. On the other hand, we are more strict on teaching her to say "please". She mostly does a good job, but some times she just doesn't want to say it and pitches a fit. Well, Sams, that's really not going to get you anywhere!
New words: perfect, cat, thank ("tha" or "da"), please ("pppp"), spoon, help, cracker, crayons, she calls Mama "MomMom" and Daddy "Da", she loves pointing to her elbow too
It stormed last night and during it I asked her if it was raining, she nodded Yes. The rain had temporarily stopped this morning and I asked her if it was raining, she said "Nooo". I guess her saying "no" has it's perks. We can ask her a question and she can reply with a head shake for yes (she stopped saying "yea") or she can opt to say "nooo".
