Over the past couple of weeks, Sammie is really understanding
what belongs to
who. I know she used to bring your shoes to you, but now she points to Dad's pants and says "Dada" or Mama's work clothes and says "MomMom", etc. This goes on with lots of items around the house. This evening at Grandma's, she pointed to Nate's sweatshirt and said "Nate"... well, it sounded more like "Dnate" just like a lot of her words start with a D sound, but when I asked her 'whose sweatshirt?', she said "Nate". She repeated it again at dinner three times while I was telling Dada about it.
We can also add armpits and neck to the list of her body parts.
After swiping me in the eye, I yelled "Ouch!" and she gave me her usual "I'm sorry hug". I told her to say sorry and it was an ouch, she repeated "sorry" and even "ouch". I put her down and told her to tell "Dada, Baba. Quick!" And she kept saying "quick. quick". Oh man! We can't believe how smart this little girl is! Is this even normal? She sure does act like she's a 2 year old.
