Swim, Sammie, Swim!

We went to the pool this afternoon with Mike, Lori and Nate. Nate got so excited about going that he put his stroller together, hopped in and was ready before anyone else. Once we all got in the pool, he had a blast continuing to jump in and swim all around! Sammie likes to watch Wild Nate and I think he inspired her to put her face in the water today, because she kept dipping her face in. I thought since she was being brave, maybe it would be a good day for her to get dunked. Of course, it would have to be Daddy that does it, not me, and he had a little help from Mike, since Mike had experience bringing Nate to infant swim class a couple years ago. Mike took Sammie and stood her up on the step and waited for her to step off, a trick to get infants to hold their breath, gasping, into the cold water, then she came up with no tears or fears and did an amazing job!... and she knew it too.

Of course of the 2 videos I took, neither do it justice what she did in the pool. In between both videos, when she dipped, she actually kicked. But here's a video from today.  :)
