I can't get over how big Samantha is and how much she is learning! She looks so grown [up] to me, especially compared to other babies her age. There's just some difference that I see between the two. Sammie has these animated expressions that just sends her over the top and she is so active and inquisitive. As far as learning goes, I know that she understands the things that we teach her, like turning lights off, sign for milk, "belly", "Ali", "Mommy", "Daddy", "sit on your bottom","kisses", yadda yadda yadda; but what she did today totally shocked me!... a couple times. She picked up one of our old cell phones, which are now her play phones, and she held it up to her ear! It surprised me because we don't talk on the phone too much around her, but she picked up on this already. Later, she found a head band on the floor and kept trying to put it over her head like Mommy wears hers- hee hee hee
Lori gave us one of Nate's old rocking chairs that he outgrew. Sammie took about a week to get used to it, but today she kept getting in to sit and rock, and she even dragged in a few friends, like Radha. She loves that doll!

O-M-Gee... she did what?!? No way! |
 |
Lets rock, Radha. |
All this time constantly prying Sammie off the bathroom floor, protecting her from Ali's box and all the yuckiness while I get ready I could have been doing this! She fits so perfectly ....

You need a comb, Mama? I''m here to help. |
Getting used to the slide at Safari Champ:
She saw a little girl go down on her tummy, so that's the way she set herself up, until Mommy & Daddy told her "on your bottom!", then she would sit but couldn't quite get over the bump where the slide meets the platform. Here, she is being silly crawling back and forth, but Mommy and Daddy were ready to go. One last slide down!
