The Dentist Is In

We have been preparing Samantha all week for going to the dentist. Although we didn't know much about what the visit entailed, we let Samantha know that he was going to look in her mouth and count her teeth. All day she kept repeating "Doctor. Teeth. Tongue." and would stick out her tongue. Once we got there, she was wildly playing with all the toy/games in the waiting room. When the dental assistant came to greet us, Sam walked right in with her and took her by the hand. She climbed up in my lap in the big chair. Twice we were asked about any habits and both times we told them that Samantha takes a pacifier at night; and both times, Sam added "Pacifier for Baby Stella mouth." Yes, we informed the dentist that we are working on giving up the paci habit. The dentist was very nice and the office is very rewarding to all the kids for a happy visit. Sam got out of there not only with clean teeth, but a new toothbrush, a sticker, a toy and a bouncy ball.
Dr. G checkin' out those chompers.

Getting her teeth brushed and some flouride added.
Since the dental office is in the Railyard, we walked past the train that is parked behind the building.
