It was nice that we were able to hang out as family this morning before Sammie's doctor's appointment. Her and Daddy "made" some grill cheese, eggs and bacon on the piano, then "cleaned up" and read to the babies.
At the doctor's:
Sammie is moving and growing up right on track. Did we have any doubts at all?!? One of the milestone questions was if she could stack blocks. I think we had some blocks somewhere that she never plays with. I pulled them as soon as we got home, stacked 3 and Sammie stacked the rest on top. No worries there.
When Dr. Sperling asked what more words she says other than "Mama" "Dada", I didn't even bother to list the words. I told her that she repeats EVERYTHING! I also told the doctor that we are working on 2-word phrases and she's picked up a couple. She said that most kids will learn that around 2 or after. I also told the doctor that we will know our colors by the next check up (in 6months) and she said that Sammie is very impressive and will always impress her. I'm sure she was being nice, but we will impress her! Samantha did a fantastic job being patient while the nurse did her thing and while the doctor listened to her heart beat and thumped all around. She gave lots of high-fives and thank yous. As a reward for her one shot, she got to pick a toy out of the treasure chest. The first thing I saw was the perfect match for Sam: A big purple elephant that squeaks.
Height: 31 inches
Weight: 23 pounds
First thing this morning Samantha pointed to her elephant towel and said "Ellll", then pointed to me and said "Mama", then patted her chest and said "Saaay". She says her name quite often since!
Her 2-word phrase of the day: "Wa Wa Please"
Andrew is right behind her at his 1yr visit...22lbs and 30 3/4 in tall! LOL how funny.
