Mama and Daddy have been telling me for months that Grandma Rie is coming to visit me to celebrate my birthday. I woke up at 6:30 this morning in excitement and sang "Happy Birthday" multiple times throughout the day while Mama cleaned... and Daddy rented a new truck and delivered more grass. Mama and Daddy let me sit in the truck and play.

Samantha was so excited to see Grandma Rie this afternoon and it was "Grandma Rie- this" and "Grandma Rie- that". On top of that, Samantha giggled and giggled all night and throughout bath, which she let Grandma give her. She surely is excited to have her here. Although she sticks to her bedtime routine and needs Mama to read, sing and rock, she is growing up and letting other people help (a little). Once Grandma realizes that Sam is more independent than she thinks, I'm sure Sam will be more open for help.
