This morning I got Sammie to keep herself occupied while I baked some cinnamon rolls (no, she didn't get any). I gave her a baking pan to play with and showed her how to make some music. And make some music she did!... Loudly! She really enjoyed banging on that pan and using it to slide-crawl!

Ready to make a beat, Mommy? |
 |
drum-drum-drum |
She decided to walk all day. She walked across the room to her toys, to give kisses, anything. She is really enjoying being "free" and so far, she is being a good girl and not getting into any trouble. Even with all this walking, she still wants Mommy to hold her, which I love. We've also noticed that when we put her down, she doesn't fuss as much, she just gets up and walks on.
Tonight for dinner she fed herself some peas, quinoa, and bits of nectarine :)

Fake boo-hooing |
New things of the week:
She's getting REAL good at getting off your lap or getting off the couch
She is babbling a TON- lots of babababababaaaa like a song, tucking her bottom lip in
She has been "singing" with me when I sing for her naps, usually to our 'normal' songs. When I sing something newer, she doesn't "sing" along.
Fake fussing out the wa-hoo... water works and lip and all! (see above pic)
Reading all her books
hugs
blowing kisses
brushing her teeth (after Mommy or Daddy)
Playing ball (tossing it)
high five/low five
We are teaching her how to be
gentle with Ali. She likes to pet her by tapping. Yikes!
