Ali Love

Sammie has been leaning over and giving Ali kisses. Somehow, Ali has been letting her do this for a brief moment. It's so sweet seeing the two of them getting along. Sammie loves her Ali cat. She found one of Ali's toy balls tonight (she kept repeating "ball" when she found it) and wanted to give it to Ali, but Ali didn't want that kind of attention. Ali is happy with soft pets, some kisses and LOTS of Sammie treats.
Kisses, Ali.

Jokester

Sammie was being funny today doing all of her tricks and learning new ones. She's getting the hang of Mommy and Daddy's "sweetheart" sign, too.
She is picking up more things too: She watches Daddy and copies him. He used his foot to change the volume on the receiver and Sammie lifted her foot too, then when Daddy when pounding pizza dough, Sammie started banging on her tray.

Here, she was being a jokester, handing me her new barking puppy and as I was grabbing for it, she'd pull it back with a huge smile :)

Boingy Boingy

Once again, Samantha had some energy today. Poor Daddy wasn't feeling well, so we put the gate up and closed the door to let him rest. After our day was well on it's way, I busted out a new birthday gift that was in the closet waiting to be played with and Sammie had some fun with it... Thanks, Brad and Jessica! Her new bike/car "boings" and plays silly sounds when you bounce on the seat. She doesn't really seem to be interested in riding it around the house, but likes to bounce, boing, and push it against the couch to climb up.
Coloring time! She loved the brown and yellow crayons.

Boing. Boing. Let's roll!
Touchdown, Daddy!

Sammie found a ziplock and stuffed her books in it.

Daddy came in during bath and said the Saints scored. This is the first pic I took of her after.

Sammie is learning so much more!
*She will repeat almost anything you tell her to say: Who Dat (she says Dat), Saints, back, socks, she burps, hot, brown, cheese, ugh oh, cat, blue, belly,
*She's signing water, food/eat, apple (in her own way, but it's very close to the actual sign)
*She dances to any music playing, even when Mommy sings
*She can blow on her food when it's too hot
*She blows her nose (last night she shot out a snot rocket!)

A Wild One

Samantha was a WILD ONE this morning before I left for work. Boy, Daddy had his work cut out for him! He took her to the park and she played with another little girl about her age and Daddy swung her along with some ABC's.
Daddy also said that Sammie danced every time she heard music... She danced to music on the radio, theme songs on tv, and even commercials.

When I got home the house was turned upside down! I didn't know what happened! Her little chair was pulled to the middle of the room and Ali was claiming it. The Christmas stuff I left on the kitchen table was all over the living room along with clean kitchen towels. My Goodness! Sammie was a true maniac! Although she had both of her naps, she was still a crazy girl until she went to bed, even though she's tossing and turning as I type this.

After bath. She was a wild beast!
Daddy made some DELICIOUS chicken pot pie and Sams fed herself all of it except the chicken- how strange, and then she fed herself some fruit.
I taught Sammie how to sign "cold" and she picked that up very quickly- brrr
She also says "up" and "out" and finally understands nodding yes and shaking her head no.
Ta Da! Daddy, that was yumm-o!

Soooo Cute!

Good morning. Got my blankie, baby and Batman in my chair.

Samantha was being so cute the other day that we tried something new. We'd ask her "How cute are you?" and our response (teaching her) was throwing our arms above our head, saying "Soooo cute!" Then we would ask "How big are you?" with the same response, "Soooo big!" When we asked her during breakfast this morning, she remembered and responded.
This morning, I was telling Sammie "I love you" while pointing to my eye, then my heart, then to her. At first she would point to just her eye, but now she just pounds on her chest, like her response is "love".  I like that better :) Daddy and I have a special "sweetheart" sign that we do and it looks like that is what Sammie is doing, although I don't think she has seen us do it. It's really amazing how much she picks up and how fast, like while we were at the store buying chicken, I told her what we were getting and she started flapping her arms like Mommy does when she clucks like a chicken ha ha ha

PS~ While we were walking down a Christmas aisle at the store, Sammie started saying "ho, ho, ho", I looked over and saw that she was looking at Santa! She totally understood!!!

I have been forgetting to mention: It is so cute when Daddy and Sammie play. Some times he throws her in the air or throws her onto the pillows on the bed and she just giggles-giggles-giggles. I LOVE hearing both of them laugh, especially Daddy's. I hope it's something I never forget.  It's like a "ahaa haaaaa" {pitch getting higher}

Rails and Chairs

Daddy had a job interview today, so Sammie went to hang out at the Gran's. When Grandpa got home he continued working on the new railing around the back porch, Sammie got to help out and supervise him.
Boy! did Daddy miss her. What is going to happen when he starts working 8 hours a day?! Man.

Although Christmas is over, it's not quite over for Samantha. Her new "reading" chair was delivered today and she was so excited to sit in it. On the other hand, she was SO upset to see us drag the Christmas tree out of the house, but it is so cute and she looks perfect sitting in it!
Thank you for my new chair, Mommy & Daddy!

Ali can sit with me!!!

Ra Ra Sam Boom Ba

Daddy brought Sammie to the playground again today. He said that she was mesmerized by a 3 year old little girl and she would watch how she moved and played. Sammie loves other little kids- watching them, playing with them, hugging them.  I think that she is going to need a social outlet sooner than we're planning.

As for the rest of their day, Sammie wore Daddy out again being silly. He'd better keep up!

Tonight before bath, I stripped Sammie down to her onesie and she took her shirt in one hand and pants in the other and started swinging them around like she was doing a cheer. As I was cheering along she did a head stand, then tumbled. It seemed like she really enjoyed it, but kind of threw her off.
Give me an S- A- M!

Mimic Mouse

It seems like Sammie's skills have blown up in the past week! She is so helpful when it comes to cleaning, especially sweeping! She loves holding the dust pan as I sweep up the Christmas tree needles and loves walking it over to the trash can and dumping it- with help, of course; then she will put the broom back in it's place. She also loves to help cook, start the dishwasher and push the buttons on the microwave. I just wish she was so helpful putting her toys away. Unfortunately, she likes to dump them out just as you have put the last piece in it's spot.

She is also getting to be so mimic-y. When you say something or do something, she will start copying you. It's nothing that she will repeat over and over, but it's fun listening to her go on and on! During dinner, she kept nodding her head yes (we have been working on nodding 'yes' and shaking 'no'). Do you love Daddy? *nods head* Does Daddy love you? *nods head* Is your pizza yummy? *nods head* During bath, she takes her wash cloth and washes her tummy and the tub. She has also been mimicking words. She tries to say: yes, hot, tickle, the batman theme song, cow, moo, boo, the way Mommy makes the unicorn sound (rolling r's), along with others.
Sammie takes her own pics now

Hello 2012!

First picture of the year:
Morning Mommy! Now, get me out!

The Saints were playing their last regular game of the season, Daddy stayed to cheer them on while Sammie and I went to the park to play with Reiston.
Who Dat, Daddy!

Hugs, Reiston.
Happy Birthday, Uncle Shake.
We went to Uncle Shaler's for his birthday dinner and Aunt Pam and Uncle Jack were there, too! Sammie had lots of fun playing with Cousin Nate and Truman, and she was very sweet to Baby Pippa, treating her just like a baby doll. Sammie has so much love- hugs and kisses- to go around. She really is a sweet angel!
Rockin' in Uncle Sha's/ Nate's chair.

New Year's Eve

Saturday, December 31, 2011

Just waiting for 2012 to get here. It didn't look like it was going to happen, but Sammie took a loooong evening nap- 2 hours! She must have been preparing herself to party. Don't worry, she was passed out by 9:00. Although, some loud fireworks did wake her just after midnight, 12:05 to be precise... but only for a few minutes.
