Skating' On

Aunt Pam and Uncle Jack came to visit Nate and I at Grandma's and they brought us skates! We tried them on stage I and walked a little, but I can't wait for stage III!

Little Red Riding Hood: Take II

I wanted to get some great pictures of Samantha in her red cape and since Miss Wiggle Worm couldn't keep still last night, after nap today I convinced her to put it all back on and "trick or treat" again. This time she could eat some candy. Her first choice, which we took away from her last night, was NERDS- the purple box. After that one, she wanted the pink box. It took forever for her to eat them. This is truly the most adorable Little Red Riding Hood my eyes have ever seen!
Wolfy, where are you?

First Day of 'School'

Mother's Day Out/ Kid's Day Out
We've been preparing Samantha for a couple weeks that she would be going to school and that she would meet new friends, color, paint, read stories and sing songs. I was a little nervous, but I knew she would do great and that she really needed to go to school not only to socialize, but gain more independence and take direction from someone other than me (and Daddy and Grandma). She is so smart, she needs more than we can give her. She did great, although she cried for the first few minutes, she sat down with Ms. Erin, read a couple books with a baby in arms, and was good to go. She was so happy when I picked her up, but said ok to going again. She also mentioned that they did yoga today. I wish I had pictures of her day.
As for me: I ran errands and cleaned... fun, huh?
Getting ready to go!
The day is all done and it's time to go.
It was a beautiful day!

Happy Halloween!

Here's our Little Red Riding Hood who u understood Trick or Treating this year and did great! She scarfed her dinner down and was ready to go out with Nate and Baby Stella. After a few houses, she got tired of walking, but rode on the stroller with Stella and as we stopped at the next house she would jump down and go! She was sweet with her "Trick or treat", "Thank you", "Good night" and "Happy Halloween"-s. She was also very interested in the scarey houses and wanted to go in some to check things out. Some people, she just wanted to hang out and talk to  them.
What a sweet girl. I hope she's ready for school tomorrow!

Once  everyone was gone and things were settled down, we danced to some Halloween music then Samantha snacked on a cookie and milk (she didn't get any candy yet).

Pumpkin Love

Samantha made some pumpkin cake for dessert with Grandma and PaPa.

And after a delicious dinner (and the yummy pumpkin cake) we carved pumpkins! Daddy made Sammie a kitty cat one.
Braaaains!
Kisses, Daddy.

Dancing With Skeletons

Austin Symphony Halloween Children's Concert:
This year's theme was Little Red Riding Hood and it just so happens that Samantha will be that for Halloween. Getting her into her costume was torturous and it wasn't a battle worth fighting, although she picked out her own clothes to wear, "Kitty cat shirt!" and was just as cute. When she saw the story begin, she couldn't wait to see the Big Bad Wolf, her favorite. Last year Samantha was still pretty wiggly, but this year she was the perfect age! It wasn't a long program so it held her attention  and she enjoyed dancing every time the music started, whether fast or slow and clapped for everyone.
Snack before the show starts.
Dancing with the "sketon".

PaPa let Sam bang the drum.

Fable Fest

Saturday, October 27, 2012
We met Lori, Nate and Baby Stella at Fable Fest. Sam and Nate always have fun riding the train and petting the animals.

So you know Samantha loves kitty cats and puppy dogs, all those little animals, and she had a blast riding the pony last night, but this girl must be fearless. Daddy brought her up to the full sized jousting horses and let her pet one of the biggest ones and she loved it! She had the biggest smile on her face. Mama's afraid of horses, but I wanted a better look, so of course I hid behind Sam ;) She wanted to pet them all again. I see horse riding lessons when she's 5. She must get it from her Poppa Sam who loved horses.
"Daddy. Look a bunny!"

CPRMC Fall Fest '12

We went to the hospital's Trunk or Treat Fall Festival. Mama wasn't prepared on how cold it was, but luckily there was an extra sweatshirt in the car and it was all Samantha's to keep warm and Daddy helped to make it fit perfect. She had a blast visiting, eating, jump-a-jumping, getting a spider face paint and, of course, she loves hanging out with Ella.

Samantha got her first PONY RIDE! She loved it!

Hug-A-Bug

Our sweet girl was back in action giving out hugs to all who crossed her. We stopped by Mama's work and she hugged everyone.
After nap, she was still VERY groggy and just wanted to lie around, instead we called Wendi and Christian and met at the park for a few minutes of play. She plays so well with Christian, that it makes me feel better about sending her to "school".
