Things are going great. We talked to the pediatrician about Samantha not liking the bassinet and that she likes to sleep in the swing, which she didn't agree to. She gave us a couple options: have her sleep in the infant pack-n-play and/or get a "magic blanket". Turns out the "magic blanket" is really called The Miracle Blanket, and as I was planning on going to the store to buy one, our friend, Lori, had one to let us borrow. We tried it that night in the crib (which we were wanting to transition her to) and Sammie slept for almost 4 hours, woke up to eat- which was a good feeding- and slept again for 4 hours. What a happy and blessed morning it was to see her smiling face!
The Miracle Blanket isn't just a blanket. It's a swaddle, like a straight jacket, that ties the baby's arms down so they can't break free. Samantha is such a kicker and puncher, she breaks out of every swaddle (even though she broke out of the magic blanket once), but it helps hold them real tight and helps with colic and gas.
