I got to help Grandma make banana bread this afternoon! She even set up some platforms so I could stand at the perfect height at the kitchen counter (nevermind that the fridge wasn't working- hee hee) I can't wait to get a bite of it tomorrow- Mmmm... It smelled yummy!

A Proud Pot Moment
We haven't been potty training, but Sammie requested to go pee-pee on the pot and when I sat her on it, she did! She was so excited! We called Daddy in and we all cheered. During bath, she said she had to go poopie, when I put her on again she passed gas... Twice! Yay for Samantha! What a proud moment for us all.

Something Sweet's 'a Cooking
Samantha was feeling so much better today- thank the lord!! I purchase an air purifier and did a massive cleaning in her room which was much needed. We hope it helps, but it seems already that it didn't make a big difference.
Sammie loves to help and prides herself in doing so. She helped at the grocery, then carrying the bags in, taking the recycling out and helped with cleaning her room. She even helped make her sweet potato side for dinner. She sure is the sweetest!

Lifeless
Samantha couldn't sleep last night, so Daddy and I had the pleasure of inviting her kicking-elbowing- self to sleep with us. Oh, boy. Man, was she sleepy this morning (and so were we) and started to really not feel well after I dropped her off at the Grans'. Although she had a good day playing with Nate and going on a trailer ride with PaPa, when I picked her up this evening she was lifeless, sitting on PaPa's lap on the recliner. She didn't even have the energy to yell "MAMA!" like she does when I get there. After we got home, things didn't get much better; she refused food, drinks, everything. She just wanted "shoul" (shoulder). We hope she gets some rest tonight and feels better tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the Benadryl does it job.

Behind The Drum
The last day of antibiotics was Saturday and it seemed to me like she was getting another infection that day and on. She would mess with her right ear and say "hurt". Of course, we went to the doctor this morning for Samantha's follow up appointment from the left- ear infection 2 weeks ago and I definitely had the doctor check the right ear. She said the left looks great, but there's some sort of build up behind her right ear drum. Long story short, she changed her allergy medicine and gave her a steroid nose spray (the same one Daddy used for his allergies). We really hope she gets to feeling better in a couple of days.
After the doctor and getting meds, we went to Gymboree to play! Since we had time to spare, we were able to arrive early and Sammie was able to play on all the mats. It was nice that they changed the set-up of everything and Sammie really appreciated it. She had the biggest smile on sweet face while she ran high and low all over the place.

PS- Samantha loves her new baby elephant that we got at the zoo yesterday. However, somehow, she ripped his eyeball thread out. I guess at some point I mentioned that a doctor has to fix it. Not thinking, she chose to bring Elle with us in the doctor. As soon as Dr. Lam walked in Sammie yelled for Elephant and handed it to the doctor. I told Dr. Lam that Sammie wants her to fix him. Luckily, I was able to save Elle's eyeball :)

Happy 4th of July From the Zoo
We celebrated the 4th at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco (about 75 minutes north). It was very hot so some of the animals were asleep, but the elephants were out and one was having a good ol' time cooling off by splashing water all over himself. Samantha just loves elephants, which is the main reason we went and of course it was the one show case that she sat still for the most and whined when we walked off. But of course, she sure did blow that elephant lots of kisses!!! It even looked like he was waving back. Just a note, their zoo is beautiful. We cant wait to go back when it's not so darn hot.
After we got home, we put out Sammie's new elephant pool and she had a blast splashing in it. There's also a slide that she enjoyed going down. We're happy to see that she loves the water.

Grandma got Nate and Sammie a new chunky puzzle of trucks. They are very into trucks now, especially with the workers in the "backyard". Grandma and I were discussing how Sammie isn't very interested in doing puzzles or painting, however she has many other interests. I guess today Sam felt like proving us wrong and letting some of her creativity flow!

Ali. Doctor.
Ali went to the vet because she got another UTI. So, one baby off antibiotics, another on. Samantha was very sad at the news of where Ali went and tried to give her pets and love when we got home, although Ali didn't want to be bothered with the amount of energy Sammie had in her.
Speaking of energy: Sam must have had a ton of energy because her and Nate were tearing down the tent and playing hard.

Water Near and Far
It rained this morning so we went out to appreciate it and get a little wet, especially between that and the water table!
We were supposed to celebrate Lori's birthday this morning with brunch, but Nate wasn't feeling well. So, we stopped by and dropped off a lemon cake. Afterwards, Sammie somehow managed to take a 3 1/2 hour nap. I'm starting to think that even though we are done with the antibiotic, she's still not 100%. We'll see the doc on Thursday, hopefully, to check how everything's going.
