Oh. My. Goodness. Samantha had her first all-out temper tantrum this morning. She was so upset that she kicked her legs and tensed her arms before flopping onto her belly kicking and screaming. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to laugh because I was shocked, but I didn't want to get mad because she doesn't know better. However, it made me realize what we are in for and we better start thinking now about how we are going to handle it. During lunch, she fussed in between each bite. We had to stop. breath. and count, 1-2-3 before moving on.
On the bright side of things. Sammie has perfected walking in her new kicks!
After a nice feeding, a nap and a walk to the car, her spirits were higher. Glad she was in a better mood for Grandma and Daddy.

Daddy's Clumsiest Fan
Daddy said Sammie was a bit of a mess today. She was fussy, tired, and clumsy. She bumped her head, scratched her legs, and got a face full of tub water. Oh, poor baby. Well, whatever makes her stronger.

Who Dat!
What a fussy day: Sammie's got another runny nose which, we were hoping the last one ran away and wouldn't come back. Oh well. At least it's Sunday, which means... the Saints are playing. Unfortunately, it wasn't televised here in Austin. But we still supported the team! Who Dat!
Sammie seems like she really wants to talk:
At lunch, she waved to me and clearly said "bye bye bye".
This afternoon, Sammie would look at Ali and say "Ay ya Ay ya.."
After bath, I told her to tell Daddy night-night and we came in and she started saying "ny ny ny ny".

Oh, Pair!
Sammie was awake for about an hour or so during the night. We had no idea that her next 2 top teeth (incisors) have started to cut through her gums and even though she lost some sleep, she sure is enjoying being able to chew through her meats!
I ordered Sammie a new pair of MoMo Baby shoes, which are an all soft leather shoe which allows her toes to grip the ground to assist her in walking. Daddy calls them moccasins. Since we received them yesterday, she was able to wear them for the first time today. She is so cute in them. Although she's a rock star when it comes to walking, she has to get used to these new shoes on her feet. She prefers crawling or holding on to your finger to help her balance while she is wearing them.
Also, this evening, while Daddy and I were sitting on the couch, Sammie climbed straight onto the couch without using her chair or anything to lift her. Man- O- Man!

Sleepy Girl
Sammie has been a very sleepy girl. She didn't want to wake up this morning-- Even after I picked her up she would put her head down on my shoulder. We went to yoga before work and her eyes were so red and droopy the whole time. She just wanted to be in my lap and give lots of kisses. Very unlike her! She is normally all in everyone's business.
Daddy brought her to visit Grandma Wells and Cousin Nate and when they came home, Daddy said, she played so hard that the house was a disaster! She was so fussy and sleepy that she went to bed at 7:00pm! That's very unusual for her.
While eating breakfast, she was copying faces with me. It was sooo cute and funny!

Today I am 11 Months!
How time flies! Our little girl is 11 months old today and luckily Mommy and Daddy were both able to spend the day with her! We skipped a nap and went to the park with intentions of playing and hiking, but it was waay too hot. So, we just played a little and left. Sammie got to see duckies and they followed us around. She got so close to petting one- eeeek!

What A Flavorful Day
We started off the day with Sammie's favorite breakfast thus far, Gerber's pear and cinnamon oat cereal, and some nibbles of Mommy's bagel and cream cheese. Some times I feed her the nibblets, but this morning she got very upset if I tried to feed her because she wanted to do it herself-- "Feed self". She did a really good job and was so proud of herself for her independence.
Sammie had lunch with Grandma and Daddy and he fed her some tuna, just a small amount to taste, which she really liked. Too bad that she can't have too much of it yet, it would be such an easy dish to prepare.
For dinner Grandpa made pizza and how could Daddy pass up giving her a taste of that?! YUM!

Daddy Day
Daddy watched Samantha today but she still went to Grandma's so he could get homework and some house work done. When he picked her up they read books, played and watched the US Open Men's Final. After bath, Sammie and Daddy watched the rest of the tennis match and she thanked him by peeing through the towel and onto his pants. It was a very exciting match though :)
PS~ After I changed Sammie's diaper this morning, I squirted the antibacterial gel on my hands and Sammie rubbed her hands together. I love that she is absorbing so much!

Ram Hat
Today was a very chilled out day, until we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wells' for dinner. Cousin Naters was there, and Auntie Pam and Uncle Jack are back in town from their summer trip! It was good seeing them after all this time and Sammie got to show off her walking and waving skills... and she blew some kisses too! Auntie Pam brought Sammie a new hat back from Seattle... it's super cute! I hope Sammie will keep it on her head when winter comes. She did laugh every time someone else put it on their head and laughed at herself in the mirror.
